Last Update for MyDrive App on the phone and the GPS don't stay connected

hi everyone
since the most recent update of the app on iphone, the GPS and phone can't stay connected to each other.
Any thoughts? I've tried doing what I read on the boards here, but no luck (maybe due to being in Canada?)

Other people have posted the same about iOS 11. Seems to be a problem, which usually happens when iOS is updated. TomTom is investigating. Usually doesn't take TOO long for a fix.0

thanks, I hope so. it annoying to see both the phone and GPS trying to connect and not remain connected.
