We've just released a new v8.0.1 of the Sports app for iPhone and it's available for download in Apple AppStore. The Android version will be out soon as well and I'll update the announcement here as soon as it happens.
Automatic pause detection
You can now control which activities use automatic pause detection. On the Manage tab, tap Settings > Better Averages to apply automatic pause detection for the following activities:
- Trail running
You can now compare your weekly 24/7 activity data (steps, calories, active time and duration) with people like you. Every step you record with a TomTom Sports device or import from Apple Health or Google Fit gives you insights into how you compare with your peers. To find the 24/7 weekly peer comparisons, go to the Trends tab and tap the summaries for your steps, calories, active time or duration trends.
Note: You're shown the data for the previously completed week, depending on your setting for the first day of the week.
You are now notified in case the software on your TomTom Sports device isn't up-to-date. It is important to use the latest software available for your TomTom Sports device to ensure it is working correctly.
On the Trails screen, you can now tap a trail to be shown a map of a trail with its GPS track. You can also choose to be shown splits of the trail. You find Trails on the Manage tab.
You can now visit our Sports Blog from the Manage tab.
