Sync doesn't reflect the same number of steps the watch shows

This has happened almost overtime I have synced my watch to my phone app. The step count for the current day is not shown as the same that the watch shows. My watch shows 15,000+ steps, and the app only shows 12,000. I have refreshed over and over and it doesn't update.

    Same here, step count often out by thousands... so pretty useless
