treadmill pace off and calibration doesn't learn on Runner 2

Using a runner2 and noticed that the treadmill statistics are still pretty bad. My main 2 issues:
1. manually adding the correct distance works but the SW seems not capable to learn from the manual calibration (similar as in runner)
2. when performing an interval training the low/fast speeds are really far off. The fast speed is too slow (reality 4.15/km, in the app 5.05/km) and the lower speed too fast (reality 6.25/km, in the app showing 6.00/km). This problem did not exist on the runner.
Any view on improving this with a new SW version?

If you search the forums you will find plenty of posts about treadmill accuracy. In a nutshell, it doesn't work particularly well. The algorithms don't detect enough steps for most people, requiring you to correct it afterwards to adjust the distance. However, it does not learn anything from the correction; it is just adjusting the distance afterwards so the record is right. I personally don’t see the big deal since while in use the treadmill keeps track of distance and pace, so as long as the watch can be made to match at the end, it is a non-issue, but I am may be in the minority on that one. I never even look at my watch on the treadmill, the treadmill display tells me everything I need (time, distance, pace, etc.). Most treadmills are pretty accurate on distance (even old ones are not going to be materially off) so just getting the records correct is fine for me.

i doubt you we are going to see any changes here, it has not changed in years, so I am not sure it is going to change now. TomTom will not comment on planned or future updates publicly (here or elsewhere) so we will just have to wait and see.

I hope this helps, please let me know if this answered your question. If it did, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.
