Problem with distance reading on Spark?

I've just run a route I do often but this time my distance reading seemed to show me as further on than I usually am. I started at the same point as usual and I know roughly where on the route I reach each mile but according to my watch I was reaching them in different places than usual. The stats from today's run show the mile markers in different places than the last time I ran that route.

While I'd like to think I'm running so fast the GPS can't keep up with me (?!?) I'm more inclined to think there is a problem/error. Has anyone else had this?

    Did you have an updated GPS QuickFix file and give it some time to get a strong lock before starting (the longer you wait after getting the Go the better a lock it will have). It may have just gotten a bad GPS reading which threw it off. If it does it again I would start with a factory reset and if that doesn't help, call Customer Support in case it is a hardware issue. To do a factory reset, make sure the Connect software is running and dock the device to your computer. The Connect window will open; press the gear at the top right and select factory reset from the next screen. Follow the steps provided and when prompted to register or sign in to MySports, select sign in and use your existing account credentials. It is fairly straightforward and should take less than 5 minutes.

    To get the number for Customer Support, go to, choose Contact at the bottom, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Phone Us. It will give you the phone number for the country your account is registered under (this can be changed by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner of the screen).
