Damaged charging/data pads on Runner 2

Recently I noticed that I have problems to connect my Runner 2 Cardio to PC using the dock cable. After examination, I found that the golden pads on the watch are damaged - the surface has been almost scratched off by the pins of dock. I charge about twice a week (a lot of training :-) and I always pay attention to be as gentle as the rough dock allows when plugging the watches in.

The watch is still in the warranty. Is this covered by the warranty?

    Yes it is, although it may also be the dock itself that is the culprit. Are any of the pins bent down or twisted? I am not sure the coating has a huge impact on connectivity as long as it is making good contact. In any case, call Customer Support and they can determine how to proceed. To get the number for Customer Support, go to tomtom.com/support, choose Contact at the bottom, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Phone Us. It will give you the phone number for the country your account is registered under (this can be changed by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner of the screen).
