Pauses do not upload correctly to Strava

When running / biking and pausing the watch, walking few metres, taking a train or public transport somewhere and resuming the activity, the upload to Strava shows and counts the distance between pause and resume but does not count the time - for longer transports it creates high speed segments and other weird stuff. The activity does not show anything irregular in MySports. Any clues?

    Every site or platform has a different way of handling the data it imports. Some take the data as is while others reprocess it and apply their own calculations and smoothing algorithms to it. This second instance will result in discrepancies between the watch and the site, causing issues like you are seeing. Strava ignores watch pauses and instead uses the end time less the start time for duration and figures out its own pauses based on GPS data. They also recalculate the distance during pauses as well. This is an issue on star's end and how they choose to display imported data, unfortunately.

    Hi,

    your answer left me in awe. You officially offer integration with Strava, but it has major flaws and you're saying that it is none of your business. What do you expect me, as a customer, to do? Certainly not buying any more TomTom products, that's for sure. Maybe you think I should go and beg Strava for fixing this bug, that affects all customers in a similar scenario? Me, as a single end user. I believe that you, as a big company with millions of happy customers, can easily take action to figure out and fix a glitch with one of your integration partners. I thought that seamless integration is a mutual interest of TomTom and Strava.

    Maybe I am completely wrong.
