    Nope, I'm not thinking of using that micro usb port. I want to use it as it's intended: through the power cable that's on the dock. :-)

    @YamFazMan Yesterday evening I did a test. I fed the mount with 12V DC and I measured 5.54V on the contact points. So you are absolutely right: the mount is working properly.

    I have the same problem with my Tom Tom rider 550. Charges fine with USB, but looses connection with dock.

    Not sure where the problem is. I checked the dock voltage, seem fine. However while moving it looses connection, so that I need to move the Satnav in the doc to find a connection.

    My theory is: the connectors have oxidized.
