TomTom Go Mobile App hangs

I have just tried to load, now maybe 6 times, the App but it just hangs on Loading app. This is on a brand new Samsung A5 2017. It has always worked on previous Android phone.

    Please, follow the steps below to sort this out:
    • Uninstall the app
    • Log out of the Playstore
    • Delete the folder Android / data / com.tomtom.gplay.navapp and Android / OBB / com.tomtom.gplay.navapp
    • Open the Playstore log in and reinstall

    Should this not help you sort this out, please answer the following questions to help us understand your issue:
    • Are you using an Sd-Card?
    • What is the type/class of the SD Card?
    • Is the SD card encrypted?
    • Did you recently remove the SD card from your phone?

    I have just tried to use the same app on my old reliable Samsung Note 2 and I am getting the same problem. I have tried to load over WiFi and Data separately but to no avail.

    I have now tried all that but it is still the same and I have removed the SD card, which is a ScanDisc Ultra 128GB XC1. I have done the same with my old Samsung Note 2 and that is now working again.

    Format the external storage card to FAT32 in your PC using http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/download/fat32format.zip.

    Hi cjmoulder,

    The issue seems to be particular to the phone you have. I'd recommend you to contact Customer Service about this. They'll be able to gather the relevant details for our technicians to look into this.

    Just an update from our product team.

    We would want to you try few steps suggested below:

    # Close all the running apps in the back ground
    # Reboot/restart the phone
    # Open the GO Mobile app(Android)
