How to protect or cover electrical connector on the rider 410

Every time that I detach the Rider 410 from its support (for ex., just to enter in a bar to take a coffie), I am afraid that someone can hit the connectors or that, if it's raining, same drops can go in the support, through the little holes in which are collocated the electrical connectors, and to cause a short circuit. And to disassemble it twice every years, in autumn and spring even if I use my motorcycle, in the next future can determinate any problem with the screw pitch.
For these reason, I suggest to devise a quickly removable optional 'take off and put on' to cover the connector, for the purpose to permit to keep the connector 'on board' every time and without any problems.

    Hi Paraelco

    Welcome to the community:)

I do understand your concern in this regards, unfortunately, we don't manufacture a protection cover as an accessory. Perhaps you might want to check with a local retailer if they provide it.

Also, see this topic where the user raises a similar concern.

    Regards
    Vikram

Pretty expensive, but it does the trick. Kit includes:
    - Plastic cover for the contacts
    - Plastic cover for the power-plug
    - Piece of screen protection / anti-glare foil

    Good evening.
Sure, I know about it; in fact, my question wants to give you the opportunity to think up about to make a plastic cover (something like TOMTOM VIO cover, but for the contacts) as an Rider's accessory.
Any way, thanks for the answer.

    Good evening YamFazMan.
Thank you very much indeed: I will think about it.

My bike lives outside in Irish weather, the contacts also. Never had an issue. Just the odd spray of WD40 will keep them nice and touchy :)

Good afternoon, the-civvie and thanks for Your information, I will do.
But: what about to protect it against accidental bump over the contacts? For this reason I think that I will buy (even if a little bit expensive) the kit which was suggest from YamFazMan.

To be honest, I cannot see how you would bump the contacts with something metal conductive, I almost bought it and decided against it

JFYI and to give You my first impression, I received today (after 2 working days) the kit and I sincerely recommend it to protect both the connectors (on the gps support and on the power cord, when You dismount it).
YamFazMan: thank You very much, again, for the advice.
