How to set a highlight longer than 6 seconds?

Hi all,

I have a short question. I want to add the speed overlay to my entire movie, but I can't add a speed overlay without setting a highlight. The only problem is that the highlight is only 6 seconds.

I filmed a movie with my kart and i want to add the speed overlay for the entire movie. Can someone tell me how this is possible?

Thanks in advance!

Currently, the only way to get your entire movie (or any period longer than the highlight) is to add your highlight to My Story and then edit the highlight within My Story by dragging on the edges of the highlight timeline, left or right (backwards/forwards in time), until you have incorporated as much of the video as you need. If your movie extends over more than one video, you'll need to grab a highlight from each subsequent video and repeat. Your overlays can then be added to your resized highlight/s.

To show extended periods of footage in your timeline you'll find that you'll need to repeat a number of actions in the timeline window and it can take a minute or two to incorporate a full movie clip. Hopefully, TomTom's next Studio update will include a faster way of expanding individual highlights to incorporate much larger sections of the source video.

I couldn't work out how "dragging on the edges" of clips worked so resorted to clicking the first clip, then scrolling along to the end and holding shift while clicking on the last clip. Then adding desired overlays. You can do similar with holding the ctrl key for individual clips rather than a group of clips.

Hi C McC, could you explain what you mean by "scrolling along to the end and holding shift while clicking on the last clip"?
Dragging the clip is taking me so long manually I would love to know how to do this.

    Thanks
