No maps available on GO 610

Just did an update on my TomTom go 610 and it wiped out the maps. I get the message - no maps available - reinstall a map you already own or go to the TomTom shop to buy a map. The Go 610 is connected to my computer and TomTom Connect is operating on the computer. What do I do now?
