Speed of tomtom device with new maps

I'm going to buy the "Map of Europe". Currently I have only Italy map. Since the size of new map is much higher, I'm wondering if the tomtom device might slow down its performances.
What do you think?

    Shouldn't be too much of a problem.......

    Of course, planning a route from your location to a destination in another country will always take longer than planning a route within Italy. That's to be expected.
