Can't add device to MyDrive Connect

Attempting to connect my VIA 1415M CTE to MyDrive Connect and it won't register the device. Installed MyDrive Connect, clicked on "Add A Device", plugged in my TomTom with the usb cord provided by the manufacturer, screen stays stuck on "Connecting Device...." and never advances from there. Installed on computer running Windows 7.
