Hi! Can tomtom satnavs calculate the best route between multiple stops?
My Dad is a delivery driver and stops at multiple locations, he'd like to load in some postcodes and have the satnav decide the best route for him. I s this possible?

No, but as long as only 'some' destinations are involved, the 'mapbased interface' makes it quite easy to rearrange a route.
btw Anyone @ tomtom that thinks anything beyond a few upto 255 waypoints don't need numbers with those waypoints: You need a thorough spanking.

The OptiMap seems to make a very good job of optimising the route before you load it into the Tomtom device
By using .ITN file type, the Tomtom device will also announce the Waypoints/Stop points
Run OptiMap.....
You can type postcodes or addresses into the 'Add location by Address box'
Or Left Click on the Map to make a Waypoint/Stop
Left Click ON a 'Waypoint/Stop' to edit/delete/rename etc
When you have made your Itinerary
Click on Calculate the Fastest round trip
Or
Click on Calculate the Fastest A-Z trip
After OptiMap has calculated and optimised the route
Click on Export
Choose Send to Tomtom
Right Click on the option 'Download itinerary file
Select > Save Link As > Choose your location (I used Desktop)
if you wish, rename the file to a more suitable name
Select > Save the file
The .ITN file should be on you desktop
Note... After OptiMap has calculated and optimised the route, if you scroll down to
Below the MAP there is a detailed route Intinerary

What a faff
Running a 15yr old snooper trucknav that can do this automatically although it is limited to only 16 postcodes or addresses but you can have multiple routes saved for when you use all 16, so you just start another one.
You can also set multiple vehicles and dimensions.
Only other downside is it doesn’t have live traffic
But some have a built in tv 👍

Welcome to the community:)
On new generation devices, you can plan a route to one destination and then add stops as per the travel requirements.
You can also plan routes in advance using the MyDrive website and then transfer them to your device.
Also, check this user guide to learn more about advance route planning using MyDrive website.
Hope this information will help..
