peternantes [Novice Seeker]

Hi. I am tearing my hair out. I managed to save a .ov2 file of my favourite places from my dying VIA 130 (very shaky micro-USB port and won't hold a charge any more). The .ov2 is on my Macintosh, and also on the web version of MYDRIVE for Chrome. Now there is no way to get it to synch with my brand new START 52. Either the Start 52 connects to MYDRIVE and nothing happens, or (more frequently), MYDRIVE says "we are having trouble connecting to TOMTOM services, try again later". Can anybody tell me whether a 2-kb .ov2 can actually contain twenty favourites? And if so, how to get the .ov2 synched with my Start52? I am supposed to leave on holiday by car next week. I would really like to have my favourites back!
