I fixed this by disconnecting the connection to my laptop, then when you reconnect, hold down the power button on the satnav for a few seconds, it seems to properly reboot itself, and loads up fine now.

Thats so incredibly helpful thank you. I have tried this and it worked. I did however have a problem with 1 route (track) file, I got an error 'Internal Error - your tracks cannot be shared due to an error, please try again later'. I guess I can live with that. Many thanks

This is ok now, it just took ages. The device powers off for ages too then reboots up, and its all up to date. Just a case of being patient.
