Simply by showing the imported track as an underlay! For simple offroad you just follow the plotted line, without routing. By doing this you can also deal with map/routing errors. Big win for TomTom (offroad capabilities) and big win for all unit owners (ride, partial, offroad tracks)

I don't think so. When an electronic compass would be present, the orientation to the north would be known to the device without moving. Now, when powering on your device, you see the map on the screen rotating to the correct orientation after riding several meters...

I don't think it's in the hardware... Because only the second part of a direction is hoarse. First part is ok, always!

If TomTom plots the original original track as an underlay there is no need for questions... It's just up to you to follow the original track (visually) over a non charted road, private road, plowed field or whatever, or you follow the directions of your TomTom.

Hey Picaro, I presume the track is ok. When importing the track into the Rider it will project the track on its map. When part of the track does not follow any road it will calculate a deviation... This can result in a route that is slightly off from the original track. There is still no way to check if the resulting route…
