No Live Services after update to 11.036

Dear Tomtom, Firmware 11.035 apparently switched of the GPS reception for my Tomtom Go 1000. The FW 11.036 which was released to fix this problem turned of the live services. Would you be so kind to turn them (by a new FW) on again? And please please test your device-software before you release it! I mean those problems are so obvious that I wonder how such a firmware ever had been tested... Thanks in advance...

Also have the same problem following update to 11.036. Tried full reset with no success. No bars showing on network screen although unit is seeing SIM.
Not happy!

I am in Perth, W.A. I updated 24 hours ago to 11.036 - prior to that, live services worked until it dropped out yesterday evening. Now that I have updated I get Error 148 (if I'm lucky) All said, not very good response when you are looking at a subscription service.

I think i'm going back to my good old 910.

In the future, NO TomTom anymore, the 820 is my last one!

@all: Did you try it outdoors with a GPS lock as well? After a software update, you have to do a drum roll reset. After the reset you have to wait sometimes quiet a while to get a GPS lock. And then your device should be able to connect to the mobile provider's network. It is for the first time only, after each update.

My 820 was working for some hours today after updating to 11.036 but this evening I am getting Error 148 and "unable to establish a wireless connection"

Zsolt is right. You will need a GPS fix before LIVE services become active.

Let me know if it still doesn't work.

I've got the same thing on my 1000.

Updated to 11.036 and followed the reset options.

GPS signal is found and no Live Serviced connection. When I look at Connections it simply says 'Not Connected'.

I did the drumroll reset whilst standing outside, I still can't receive any of the 'Live' services. When I try to review my TomTom Live services, the screen just reads .."one moment please".... How about another download to fix this bug?

I'm on the phone to TomTom now and they're a bit flummoxed. I'm not even able to get to the screen to enter my email address etc. This lack of connection is obviously the issue with all of this.

I've got good GPS reception and the map's working fine. Not prepared to do a factory reset as this normally screws up things worse than they were before. TomTom hasn't tested sufficiently their leap year fix - it's obviously a rushed job. Let's hope that there is a simple solution to this as, currently, I'm paying for a service that I'm not receiving!

They weren't able to resolve over the phone, so it's been escalated.

In order I've tried:

Soft reset
Factory reset

Neither worked.

I have good GPS signal, but no network connection, so no Live etc...

Out of curiosity, even though you don't have network connections, if you try for weather near you, does it retrieve anything? How about Google local search?

No - we tried Google, Weather, Twitter, Expedia, TripAdvisor......all just sit there saying 'TomTom Services, One moment please....'

I left it doing that for 25 minutes and still nothing.

Maps work fine, GPS works fine. Just no services.

All I get is Error 148 "Can't connect to live services please try again later" GPS Satellites are good. All details in Connections/Network for the SIM card are there and appear OK.

What TomTom models do you people have please (those getting a GPS fix but Live Services have been killed)
