You don't even have to press hard. If it is moving a lot whilst just touching it, not pushing it, it might be a defective unit. A fine piece of equipment but I can find no way of mounting it on the windscreen in such a way that it is visible, in reach and does not move when the screen is touched. The old style mount was in the centre of the back of the device and it did not move.
