How can I restore "Recent Destinations"?

Every time I install a new map in my GO-920 my Recent Destinations list is wiped. This is very annoying and takes a while to re-enter. Is there any way of restoring it from a backup?

Before peforming a huge update like a new map installation, make a full backup of the navigation device.

After the update has completed, restore the mapsettings.cfg file from the backup folder.

Open the backup folder;
Open the folder which contains the name of the map;
Right click on the 'mapsettings.cfg' file and select 'copy';
Go to 'my computer';
Open the hard drive contents of the navigation device;
Open the folder which contains the name of the map;
Right click on a open space and select 'paste';
The operating system asks to overwrite the current file, select 'yes';
Safely disconnect the device from the computer;
All settings are now restored (settings, favourites, recent destinations,..);

The backup folder is under My Documents I believe. Works for my Go 720.

It worked since April 2011 on my GO 720 until yesterday when I had an update and did not work this time. I don't know what went wrong. I tried 'copy and paste' & 'delete and paste'. Please help!
