@ Bogi: since I see you are German, let me try with a couple of examples. Imagine that you are in a German city searching for  Heiliggeistkirchstraße or Helmut-Kohl-Straße but your TomTom shows you Holy Spirit Church Street or Helmut Cabbage Street. Useless, isn't it? Even if these translations are supposed to be correct, you won't find any street plate hanging on any wall of that city saying literally Holy Spirit Church Street. And if you ask to any local for a street named Helmut Cabbage it's easy to imagine his/her reaction.
This is exactly what TomTom is doing here; rough translations to Spanish of places that don't have a name in Spanish. If you come to Barcelona don't ask for "Ronda de Arriba" if you don't want to see people laughing at you...
