My wife received her father's TT XXL after he passed a few months back.  I believe the box said it was an XXL 540TM or 550TM but the outside of the box indicated free Lifetime Map Updates.  I have downloaded and installed the TT HOME app and the device connects to the computer and I created an account in her name.  The device updates the operating software etc. just fine, however, it wants to sell me updated maps for $100 or some such nonsense.  There is an Activation Code selection in the TT HOME app, but I did not see anything in the box we got from her mother that would suggest an activation code, only a reference manual.

I checked the latest version in the device and it shows: USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P 860.3121.  Although I cannot find a definitive answer of the latest version on the forums or on the TT website, I saw one message that suggested it is now something like 870.xxxx.

Any idea how to get the free updates for this device or is this something that is not transferable, or perhaps my father-in-law never activated the feature?
