I had installed Home and updated once, (I think). Attempted to update again in May, got error 'could not delete E:\bin\gltt' The device wouldl not start, had a red X on screen. I have reinstalled Home, new error message says 'cannot create this file E:\bin\gprscomd'.
Nothing seems to work, very frustrated. Cannot use the device at all. Any help out there? I thought I could get a new download to restore the device to original and then update.??HELP.

If the computer recognizes the unit as being connected, then:
1. Make an Explorer, NOT Home backup. If not sure how, see here: http://www.tomtomforums.com/t17864-how-backup-cont
2. Delete all the loose files in the root of the unit, NO folders or their contents.
3. Connect to Home and install the application offered. Disconnect properly from Home using the Device Disconnect icon.
Any better?

The PC doesn't recognize the device at all, it just sits there.
Now what?

Using the cable that came with the unit? A usb port on the back, not the front of the unit?
