Hello Everybody
I am having trouble with my TT after today update 24 02 2012.
Normally It worked perfect . I did regular updates with speed cameras as I travel a lot through Europe. Today I got a critical error , anonymous problem report has been sent. .
The thing is my device is not responding at all. I switch it on and it ask me for accept general company rules , I tap accept and nothing happen. I even try connect it to the computer through USB cable device ask connect with a computer NO/YES
I tap YES and nothing happen again . TomTOM Home says : No device is connected as I can't accept connection with my computer O.O
It worked perfect until today update !After Update it is rubbish !!!!!
I have no clue what should I do now . Any advice / tips how to resolve this problem ?
My device is TomTom XXL with IQ routes

HI,
I have had exactly the same problem. Very very annoyed. I now have NO satnav. Please help, and in future please test your updates fully before releasing to the public.

Try resetting the unit by holding the power button about 15 seconds till you hear the drum sounds and then try connecting again.

I've tried this with no success!
Also tried operating the tomtom through tomtomHOME but this then crashes!

I have also tried reset it , No luck In 10 days I should go on a road Trip 1600 miles . Now I am F....D

I have the same problem with my TomTom XL IQ routes.
After downloading this update my TT don't will start up.![]()

Exactly the same problem here. Connecting via a Macbook, and it now doesn't even recognise that anything is plugged into the usb, so I can't see what tomtom support can do, as I can't copy any updated software to the tomtom, as the computer can't see it, and it doesn't have an SD slot either.

Same problem here.
Received today a mail from TomTom requesting to connect to update the GPS.
After doing the updtate, impossible to restart it... Still be able top connect to the PC, but no help there!
We need the update of the update... THANKS.
It wil become urgent soon!

Guys I spoke LIVE Chat with their Customer Support. I got emailed some instructions. I tried as follows :
1 restart device (not working)
2 run RemoveRegEntries tool ( not sure if it helped but link is http://tomtom.com/lib/img/cs/S4S/files/RemoveRegEn
MY TomTom lost all memorised adresses , all favourites gone but at least it WORKS . Cant get a signal GPS but I might need GPfix ?
