Device doesn't disconnect from computer properly

I inserted my device in the computer to update it, and when i was finished, i pressed the eject button in tomtom home, and the device restarted, and it came up the screen, as if it would still be connected to the computer.

Does Home show it as still connected?

Have you tried to reset it? Either via a pin hole on the bottom, or press and hold the ON button until you hear the drum roll.
