Hi TomTom,
My XXL 540 is about 1.5 years old. Recently the battery seems to have problems.
Even I have charged it for 2 hours, it still shows 'Low Battery' once i unplug the A/C power.
Is it still under warranty? Can i get it replaced please?
Thanks,
Leo

Warranty is 12 months, you can call customer service about battery replacement or you can do it yourself.

Here is a video on changing the battery. This model is very close to yours.

Peel the label off the base of the device and you will find a couple of Torx head screws (Size T5), take these out and the device splits in two, rather than repeat all the instructions on here why not click this link for a guide I wrote a while ago http://www.pocketgpsworld.com//modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=74279&highlight=battery - Mike

Yes there are, what model do you have? If not sure, what are the first two letters of the serial number?

See if any of this helps (from another post).
External power pack

There were several possibilities as Traylaw indicated. In my country I could choose from Battery Champion.nl who offers an External 5V Accu Pack 3000 mAh with several connectors and cable at 36.86 euro, or the Adapt Bicycle Navigation Kit 3.5 inch, which is a combination of a rubber housing to make it all weatherproof, an external accu with cable and a device for fixing the Tomtom to the bicycle, so all in one, at a price of not more than 16 euro in several shops or even cheaper on the internet, e.g. from koopjesjager.nl. This is what I am going to try and see if I still need the extra accu from Battery Champion.
Thanks again for pointing the right directions to me.
