Right after your message my live services started to work on 3g, and yesterday i used it all day without a hitch.
But sadly today i got the same exact problem, my services would not open on 3g.
i downloaded a app but sadly this did not help, then i bite the bullet to test as i really needed the service this morning and purchased a month subscription, which i could do but right after this i got a message (translated) no connection to my services and the purchase dissapeared.
So sadly again my live services do not work anymore on 3g.
I have to say this is getting really frustrating.

Did you switch from wifi to 3g?
The app will not connect to HD traffic after a switchover (it's a bug). You have to close/reopen the app after the 3g switchover to connect.
I have wifi in my house, and it reaches my driveway. So every day I have to close/reopen the app once I drive out of range of my home wifi. (same thing happens when leaving my work, and when leaving many stores that have wifi in my city).
It is the most annoying bug in this new app for me, and I hope they fix it in V1.1.
Edit: this was fixed in app 1.0.1
