Re: TomTom on Android

NOT

I still cannot believe it. BUT IMHO proves a link with Apple after all when 50% of mobile phones in the USA are Android and 53% in Europe IMHO it proves people are moving away from iCrap

As I have repeatedly said if I was a shareholder the CEO / Chairman of Tomtom would be taken to task at the AGM

Re: TomTom on Android

Info from within Tomtom:

"Wij zijn hard op weg om deze app te lanceren, dit zal hopelijk deze maand nog zijn, maar kan ook de komende weken/2 maanden nog zijn."

Re: TomTom on Android

Well, I just pasted it. Put the verb TO be in the right place; it isn't so difficult...
This is not the point.... i think the meaning of the news is understandable and more relevant.

Given there are no dates on the message, and its clearly been cut from a longer message and we don't know the context OR if its even an Adroid App being discussed!

I would not get too excited about it, It Would be very nice to have a Tom,Tom app on Android but its going to have to be very good and sensibly priced.

I am not shelling out £80+ a pop anymore for what would only be a marginal improvement over Co Pilot.

Re: TomTom on Android

Updated maps all over europe is not a marginal improvement. Copilot is a good product but the maps fare really old on Android

Re: TomTom on Android

I have a friend who part owns a company which does digital mapping, mainly for OS.  He says a Beta version of Navigator is being tested on Android ICS. It is not going to work on Gingerbread or earlier.  Probably be announced about same time as Galaxy S3.
