"Is anybody from the staff here?"
Yes there is. I posted an pretty heavy replay with my opinion. And they removed It. I am finished with them.
If the don't like what they read the simply make it go away.
I go away. And not to those rotten Apples.

There is members of staff about but as far as I am aware they do not remove stuff unless its offensive I have had MANY "pop's" quite strong ones about what I consider the incompetent management of Tomtom ignoring Android for so long and have proven the share pricing and possible links to apple some of which is pretty strong, they have not removed it begrudgingly I give them points for promoting free speech on that.
But I still consider their lack of News, a fixed date, and a backwardly compatible program i.e. one that works on My Galaxy Tab which runs Gingerbread OUT OF ORDER and Gross Stupidity / Incompetency.

Dears,
even I have registered today, I have started to observe this forum long time ago - reason was simply, my WinMo device (HTC mobile phone) started to show, that replacement will be necessary and I have found, that my future will be in Android world. I wanted to use TomTom in my car, motorbike, bike same as before. Thats why I am long time checking news about TomTom Android version, as I am travelling abroad frequently - online navigation due to expensive roaming data and low accuracy is not solution for me.
I can see, that Android & TomTom navi users community (same as me) is really hungry to have Android TomTom port, but unfortunatelly I dont believe, TomTom will make it. I dont know, how TomTom devices are made (they have their own facility or some subcontractor), but anyway - there is surely some part of profit just from devices, which TomTom dont want loose.
It seems, they sometimes just only release some "fogg" news to discourage TomTom users to migrate to competitors.
I have just been waiting till today (I hope in July is already Summer, holidays) delay purchase competitors product, if there will be not SW release. Today, I have to say finally good bye. I like TomTom navigation, but I dont want to buy separate device. TomTom sw is quite good, accurate, well made, its a pitty, I could not use.

I agree TomnotTom.
In my disappointment I bought Copilot as a temporary measure OK it works but I must admit not over keen on it and having seen Sygic on a friends mobile I shall be purchasing that at the end of the month unless I am surprised by a change around in Tomtom's thinking (but I do not expect that to happen).
Really am very disapointed in Tomtom as I had been running it on my old XDA IIi for many years very happily

Well, tray fore the time being Sygic. It's free for a month, and if you like it you can bay it for little money. And perhaps you forget about the money-driven wolf. I use Sygic, but was used to Tomtom. I'm happy with Sygic. It can be improved, but it's the next best thing, I hear all around. And I don't think I will return to the unreliables.

Better Question WHAT YEAR

That's a pity abt your summer though I do swim across the pond when the timing is right whilst enjoying cruising over the M6 to Birmingham being one of my destinations.
Recently in May, we had 40 heatwave degrees as clocked in my external car's temp readout.
I won't hold my breath on the Android solution TomTom might consider for its just tooooo long since the rumor began surfacing in late 2010.
Apart from the absence of TTS, I am appreciative with bewildement when I occasionally sneak a peek on either the SGS2 or even on my Galaxy S Mp4 5,0 which both provides with the same map routing thru the Agps on board.
If any among you who once had and is not using your GO 950 Live vehicle dock, I'm interested to buy it from you, in good working state of course.
My current units>>: Go 950 Live, Garmin Nuvi1490Tv, SGS2 and Galaxy S 5,0 WiFi for optional GPS guidance. My>>> "companion-guides" when cruising over the roads or simply, scooting1, scooting2...
