Same here. Fit is perfect of course, but I can't connect using bluetooth and the car kit app doesn't indicate a GPS fix or that the phone is docked. It's as if it's not connected. I hope this can be corrected through a firmware update (if possible) for the car kit.
Same problem here. Worked fine with my 3GS. Got the adapter for the 4 and installed it. My wife's 4 works fine but nothing happens when I dock the 4S. I've even reset the device with by holding in the volume button.
I was able to get it working by placing a folded over pieve of paper behind the iPhone. Looks like there must be a little difference, but I can't see it at all. Maybe the adapter needs to be slightly thicker to get it to work.
You are right. I got mine to work, I took off the iphone 4 adapter and put 2 small shims under it and put it back on and now it works. I guess the iphone 4s is a bit thinner then the iphone 4.
I'm also getting the same problem, looks like it is not compatible with the iPhone 4S. I shall be using a basic window mount instead until Tomtom can offer a solution.
