Is it possible to move the postcode search option to nearer the top of the screen on the iphone app. Why is it third from bottom and not viewable when you click 'Navigate to' given that it's probably the most obvious search option other than Home. I don't know anyone who doesn't search by postcode but how it is less important than places, people or events (whatever they are?!?) is beyone me, as is why it isn't obvious to change the order to suit the user. Maybe it's an iphone issue, the only help I found said to choose address and then choose postcode in the top right of the screen but that's a wasted step on a product that prides itself on ease and speed of use. The rest of the app is great and works better than my previous tomtoms!

I'm curious. Why this problem never happened to me?

People are Contacts in your Address book... if you have their postcode in your "contacts" it is quick and easy.
"Events" are meetings in you calendar... and if the meetings are with people in your contacts...

In the latest 1.11 version, you can now re-order your main menu and location selector menus in the order you want to see them. And you can even hide menu items you simply dont want to see if you don't use them!

Sinny, I have managed to reorder the menu items which is great, but cannot work out how to hide unused ones. Am I missing something?

After you select the grey 'Edit this menu' button, you move the menu items below the grey bar that is then titled 'Hide these items' (while in edit mode)

Excellent, thanks. Perhaps when TomTom adds new features in a release there should be somewhere that we can go to find out how to use them? !!

Please can you explain how to re-order my main menu & location selector menus? I cannot find how to do it in the app & there is no 1.11 User Guide only 1.10 http://download.tomtom.com/open/manuals/app_for_ip

The Postcode in most other countries isn't half as useful or precise as in the UK e.g. in France it is just gets you the village town or city (62100 is Calais, 06400 is Cannes etc) whereas in the UK it can be as close as half a dozen houses in an urban area or a street in the country. UK Postcodes were not the design centre for TomTom which is why it's not at the top of the menu as anyone in the UK would want.
The idiotic placement of postcodes way down the search menu was the first thing that struck me after I bought V1 of this otherwise excellent app several years ago.

After you select the grey 'Edit this menu' button, you move the menu items up and down to wherever you want by pressing and holding the 3 lines that are then displayed on the right hand side of the menu item.
If there are items you know you will never use, then move them below the grey bar at the bottom of the list that say 'Hide these items' then they wont be displayed again. (unless you decide you do want them there, then you can edit again and move them back above the grey bar)
Then when you're finished editing, you press done.
