I will try this also. Thanks for this explanation! But still it's an odd way to add POI's to TomTom... :-(

Tomtom Support got back to me with the suggestion to use "CustomPOI utility for Tomtom", available in the app store for EUR 3,99. Not quite the answer to my question but hey, maybe someone here has a use for it.
Malcolm and Ashx, thanks again!

Ok, thanks. Didn't know that app. But its still not as it should be though... TomTom should listen more to the wishes and remarks of customers. The forum is full of it.

The POI app is a nice app if you want to navigate to 1 of your poi's, but... I want to see all of my custom poi's when I'm driving and there is no solution (at the moment) for this in ios6.
Please don't tell me that I have to leave TomTom after years and years promoting it !!!

At the moment Diskaid will not allow you to copy such files onto the iOS6 / iP5's
There is a workaround to import user POI's I have used called POIViewer, but I don't think it will show them on the map in TT. Read the following thread link for how to

Hi,
In the nicest possible way please read the messages. POI viewer will allow you to get your POIs into TomTom io6 but will not let you view your POIs as you are driving planning - it will only let you navigate to one at a time. We need years of gathered POIs in the TomTom [map].app folder. Wake up TOMTOM !!!!

TomTom has replied me on my direct question to them about poi's and Apple ios6, here their answer:
"We are working hard to resove this issue for you as well as other TomTom users."
So, patience will be our only solution for now ![]()

I downloaded POIViewer to my iPhone to see if that was a solution to the POI problem in TomTom. But when I ask it to open TomTom it always opens TomTom USA/Canada! I have both USA/Canada and Europe installed and I want it to open Europe. I don't see any possibility to configure that. Any suggestions?
I have written email to POIViewer support, but no reply!

I have now received a reply from POIViewer support. They will release a new version where you can select the TomTom app that you want to open ![]()
