You can download additional POIs using TomTom HOME desktop software to TomTom devices.
How does this work for the TomTom iPhone app?

I have some poi's of stores I'd like to use on my TomTom. How do i get them on my iPad.
I knew how to do that on my windows mobile phone but the ipad does not have
an file-exporer or something like that i can use to upload files.
>>> You will need a .ov2 file and a .png file (being a renamed .bmp file) for each poi. Then down load and install DiskAid on your PC. The basic version is free. You can use this to access the TT Map Folder on your iPhone/iPad when its connected to your PC. Then copy each .ov2 and .png pair into it. This makes the pois accessible when you navigate to Point of Interest on the TT App.

It does work. Make sure you have the correct map folder. The correct folder will contain the files cline.dat, cname.dat, cnode.dat + many others.

I must be overlooking something then because I can only find a folder with two files and a subfolder also containing two files. Can you point me in the right direction?
I put up a screenshot of Diskaid here: http://www.gerla.nl/pics/screenshot.png
TIA,
Art

That looks nothing like what I am used to. I assume your iPhone is not jailbroken.
The following DiskAid image is what it looks like for the UK map.

Well, I supppose that explains it. Mine isn't jailbroken. Thanks for helping, Malcolm. I've emailed Tomtom support and will let you know their answer, if any.
