I am looking at buying the TomTom for my iphone. We are going to Greece at some point and looking to plan our journey for the car trip. Having looked at my newphew's TomTom the Europe app does not cover Greece so how can we plan the trip?
Even if I was to buy the Greece app it still would not give me the planned route from UK or would it?
Your advice is well appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
if Greece isn't covered in the Europe app there is no way to plan the route completely within the app.
But you can plan the route here: routes.tomtom.com, check where the route crosses the border and use this waypoint as first destination for the europe app. At the border you start the greece app and enter your final destination.
But please check ahead of the purchase whether all countries used by the route are covered within the europe app.

Hi and thanks for your reply.
I have contacted TomTom directly on the support page and have been told that Greece is fully covered in their Europe map, and therefore regaring the iphone app i should contact Apple with my question.
I have gone to Apple and they say
"Third-Party Applications
To get support for other applications, please contact the developer directly."
This is very confusing and unhelpful. The buck is being passed form one to the other and I cannot get a simple answer to this.
However since the maps are covered in the Europe app, is there no way that one could somehow install them into the iphone app?

UPDATE:
Looks like I am getting the runaround, this is the latest from Apple:
"unfortunately, here at the iTunes Store Customer Support Team we do not have access to information regarding the details of the TomTom Europe application. You will need to contact the developer of the TomTom application directly:"
Come on TomTom, pull your socks up...I like your app and want to BUY IT!
Anyone with any ideas to get the included maps into the iphone version (which should be there in the first place) would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.

The easiest way for you currently would be to aks your nephew whether he has version 1.10 installed and then check the map coverage again.
If version 1.10 doesn't cover Greece there is no way to add a different map to the iphone app.

No he has the last version 1.9 I think , but checking on the Apple store I see there is no change the maps, Greece is omitted.
I cannot understand why Tom Tom themsleves don't know why and refer me to Apple for an answer, this is highly confusing and upsetting especially like their app and is costs around 80GBP which is not cheap for an iphone app!
Rather upset.
I thank you for taking the time to respond to my question.
