Re: Car kit availblity ?!?!

Its been discontinued from TOMTOM as to my knowledge. I was luckily enough to get the last one from ARGOS last month.  CHECK EBAY OR AMAZON I think they are a couple still available

I see. Thanks for the information. However, where can I see more about this issue?

Thanks for the info, but do you have any idea WHY TomTom would discontinue this? Doesn't seem to make sense, it seems to me they've got a nice little number here: 1 Charge for the app 2 Charge for the car kit 3 Charge for traffic- what's not to love?

Probably because too costly to produce and wasnt a big hit selling because of the unit price and the small continue changes in the iphone design. just my 2cents

Re: Car kit availblity ?!?!

I think Apple has something to do with it. I read tomtom will be the main providers of maps for iOS 6. Maybe they stuck a deal so apple could offer their own car kit or license the build to 3 rd parties, in return for tomtom supplying maps...something like that. It would at least account for the lack of info on the topic.
