I have been looking for GPS that I can use on both car and motorcycle. I saw the tomtom rider and have seen alot of not so good things said about it. Can anybody out there give me some advice on this and where can I get one.

No advice as to where you can buy one, I'm afraid. They don't seem to feature in TomTom's online shop in the US.
I have used my Rider in my car as well as on my bike. The car mount is a lot bulkier than the "car only" ones, but then it does have a speaker built in. You do have to buy this separately, though. Also, the Rider itself only has a 3.5" screen, which apears very small in a car by today's standards.
However, the functionality is the same as any other TomTom, so I don't know what "not so good" things you may have heard. I can only think of size and weight.

Hi
I use the rider in my car and on my bike. I use it just about every day, travelling around the UK and Europe not had any major problems other than with the bike active mount which fail from time to time
The only suggestion I have for you to purchase one is mail order or an auction site then buy the US maps a little expensive maybe Don't know why they have withdrawn their US support.
