help, i have paid for the updated maps and update service for my rider v2 western europe, the maps have updated but i have lost my full post code search ?? only first 3 letters/numbers in search now, used to have full postcode seach ?? Any ideas, bit niffed after paying £60 ??

Exactly the same thing has happened to me. I e-mailed technical and they tried to put me right but it didn't work out.
I have sent another mail again today and when I get mine sorted I'll post you. Alternatively if you e-mail the same question they may see a common fault and put something on their support page.

hi, cheers for posting a reply, i,m going to ring them tomorrow, i'll tell them there is someone else wiv the same problem and let u know what they say. with a bit of luck we might even get it fixed ! ! ! !

Hi, did you get postcode sorted? I have lost mine too after updating & buying new map.

You are not alone; the exact thing hapened to me. I updated the maps using tomtom home on my MACBok Pro and now when trying to enter a post code the "space" key has gone ie if entering TQ12PM you would type TQ1 space 2PM. The space key has been replace with a . (dot) so it will not take the full post code. I read that it may be an issue with MACs but have just done a software check using a pc and same snag. I have emailed TomTom but no reply. If anyone gets an answer please email me dickyinbrill@btinternet.com Thanks

I didn't realise my Rider2 was supposed to be able to do a full post code search until I found these posts; by rummaging around, I found this page which enabled me to get the search up and running, although I messed it up the first time by changing the name of the file - it has to be left as 'zip': http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_
