I'm not hearing any instructions given by tomtom through my headset, even though the two are connected by Bluetooth! the headset and tomtom worked perfectly the first time I used it, but the second time nothing! I have reset the tomtom to factory settings, but that did not help. 

Has anyone got any ideas on how to get them working again!

Don't understand this as a silly answer

- Accu of Scala Rider still charged (blue LED flashing in intervals)?

- Bluetooth at UR switched to "off" by some rason?

- Volume at UR set to "minimum" by some reason?

The battery has just been fully charged on both devices,

the tomtom reads as been connected to headset via Bluetooth, 

volume shows as being on max.

I don't know why but the rider losses the headset address or connection it does not store it like a cell phone does and I too have to keep reconnecting the devices during a ride with stops/layovers ...  

I don't know if this is due to power surges when shutting off and starting a bike

Maybe a resister to help control the surge would help, maybe one of those tech guys could look into it

Have you got a mobile bluetoothed to the TT.  On my rider 1 a certain Nokia disconnected the scala rider from the TT a intervals.

i'm doing a 200 mile ride today I'll see what happens, in the rain too
