Tom tom rider wont turn off when charging

Hi like it says in the subject i was just wondering if it's normal for a tom tom rider to not turn off when it is charging via the mains.

Hi,

please check in your battery/energy settings menu if it is set to automatically turn on when connected to an external power source. If that is enabled and you'd like to have the device charging and turned off please disable that option.
