2 days into a rather wet trip to the Nurburgring, my TTR2 started ‘ghost screening’ – i.e. the screen would flick from one menu to another like someone was pressing it rapidly. Re-boots did nothing to stop this so I gave up and put it away. That evening it also looked like some water had gotten under the glass - 1 quarter of the screen seemed to have liquid between the glass and the LDC. Having had issues with prior TTR getting water in though the SD card flap I had this fairly well duct taped such that I think if water did get it it must have done so via the screen housing.
I’ve since let it dry out such that there’s no visible liquid behind the glass, however now there’s no touch-screen functionality whatsoever. The unit seems to be working fine as long as I operate it via the TomTom Home ‘operate my device’ functionality. i.e. not much use on the road.
I’ve tried the clear flash .exe found elsewhere on this forum to no joy. The unit is out of warranty such that a repair is almost half the price of a new unit, so it seems I’ve probably got to throw the thing away. Any suggestions?

Hi
The screen is easy to replace ( probably 20 screws and a couple of ribbon connectors.) They are pretty much sealed so I would be supprised at water causing a problem unless the unit was damafged in some other way.
You can get the screens and if resonably copitent with a screwdriver do the job yourself. I do have a couple of working screens from units that have failed in other ways.
