Re: Rider Charging

The dreaded active Rider active dock should be the non active dock. The first one failed on the first day of a trip to Spain in July, and because the battery symbol is so small it didn't register until the satnav switched off 50km from our first destination. Had to revert to 'nosesat' to find the hotel we had booked.iy on return contacted Tomtom and they replaced at no charge, took a very long time to come and then only lot of emails to them asking where was it.

It arrived late August, tried it and it worked ok. Just tried it again on a new bike and now it doesn't work, same fault as the duff one , power at the end of the connecting cable, nothing on the dock!!!. I now have two faulty power docks, neither of which supply  power.

Judging by the number of failures reported on this forum I am going to look at cheaper alternatives, I would advise anyone complating buying the active dock to do the same, great satnav useless power dock.

Hi, I am looking for an active dock cover... the plastic cover of the 'active dock' has broken. Do you have a spare one?
