Re: speedcam France

Berry, I don't speak for TomTom, but most of the messages on this forum are reporting problems, and sometimes in an irritated tone. A big THANKS and KUDOS to you.

Re: speedcam France

I've tried to delete the speedcams from my TomTom One 3rd ed as well.

I can't find the tab 'items on my navigation system'.

Can someone help me? I'm not sure if the cams are of now.

Re: speedcam France

The Tomtom One 3rd Edition is not on the compatible list for Danger Zones in France, for which (without asking) you have removed my safety camera warnings.

Is that it then, just plain tough, I've lost an important service without being able to get the Danger Zones?

NOT impressed!

Re: speedcam France

I have had the same experience so I presume the ONE XL is not compaible with the French Danger Zones update.  I have pm ed Ditte to ask whether an update will be available for the ONE XL at some stage but have not had a reply yet.

On a related matter I updated the traffic cameras and it said it was removing the French cameras but when I look at the content on my device the French Radar files are still there.  Are they still active?  I hope not otherwise I could be in trouble when driving in France in a weeks time.

Re: speedcam France

I live in France and have paid TT 29 euros per year for the past many years. Annoying that they can delete what I feel I have BOUGHT and own! I did not realise I was just RENTING the information. And now if I dont buy another new TT I wont have the French Danger Zones. Not impressed with the French nor with TT. If the danger zones are available they should be available to all TT users. A Danger Zone is no longer just a speed Camera so the information (being with held) could save lifes. If TT have the ability to map every road and house in Europe - then they have the ability to make available Danger Zones on older models as well. For heaven's sake, I would carry on paying them my 29 euros per year

Re: speedcam France

Actually that is true for just about all software and data. You only lease it under the license agreement. Tomtom must also abide by each country's laws and trade agreements.
