There isn't a model as such. Look for the serial number of your unit on the bottom of the device and insert the first 2 characters here:

This is an actual device as i have the same one. I input the serial number into the site and it says ONE (30 Series) / 125 / 130 - 1GB

First - If you have not already done so, you need to install Tomtom's Home software on your pc. Here is a link for that.
http://us.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_
Second - Before you install a map or any updates offered by Home you first need to make a backup of your gps.
Here is a link for that.
Third - Use Home to install any updates that it suggests.
Fourth -Use the "Add Map" option in Home to select, purchase, download and install maps. Home will only offer maps that are compatable with your unit. You may have to remove your existing map to make room for a new map. That is one reason to have made a backup. before installing a new map.
- To remove a map from your device you can use the Home function "manage my device"
Last - You need to make a second backup with the new map. That way you can switch back and forth between maps using your backups.

Well, I am pretty sure its not a problem with TomTom not wanting money.....![]()
The server may be down for maintaince.....If the problem continues after about 12 hours, I would call customer service...I'm sure they would be very helpful since it's cash in their pocket. I don't beleive the problem is at your end.

What operating system are you running.....Maybe it is a problem with the firewall or antivirus. Are you using a proxy to connect to the internet? Are you connecting from your home, work or somewhere else?
