I have succesfully downloaded the setup application "TomTomHomewinlatest WinLatest.exe" but the application will not run. (No error message, no response on clicking "run".
I am attempting to install "Home" on a PC running XP.
Has anyone out there experienced this? (I suspect it may be a PC problem, rather than an issue with the TomTom application)

Do you have dotnet framework installed? Home requires it. Get it here:

if it doesn't work after installing the netframework update try to disable temporarily you antivirus and try again.

I tried this with no success.
I discovered that I was having problems with other devices; and having replaced a defective PC component and carrying out another clean reinstall, I have successfully downloaded TT Home.

Maybe it is your antivirus. You can try to disable it and run the program again.
On XP it's vey important that the NetFramework from Microsoft is up-to-date. I sent you the link before, did you install it?
Home usually works very well on XP.

I did download NetFramework as suggested, without success. As per previous, I am pretty convinced that the problem was wirth the PC, rather than with the downloader or download.

I have the same problem, I used to have TomTom Home, it vanished from my pc and now I can't install it. So same problem but with Windows 7.

The fact that this appears not to be something of a common problem is interesting. Perhaps someone "out there" who is a computer fiend might be able to offer advice. I wonder if there is something in the TTH programme that remains in the PC's system if it is uninstalled (or simply disappears; and that this prevents a re-install? If so, is it possible that the download could be rewritten to overcome this problem?
