Re: Speed Cameras in France

Yes, that was the route. Didn't do anything special, just done a drum/soft reset right after the update. Got a blue triangle with exclamation mark and audible warning at the beginning and at the end of the zone.

Do you use a Text-to-Speach voice? I use a recorded one and that only bleeps.

Re: Speed Cameras in France

I have just downloaded the latest TT update and the dangerzones are active for la France. I have tested by playing the demo route from "le las" tot "blagon". Finally a solution to the problem, now let's hope the French police accepts these danger zones.

Re: Speed Cameras in France

Zsolt, (everyone)

Does anyone have any info about the 9.43 update that has been released according to a post on the French forum. No news at all from TT about this update either, but according to the French post it's also a fix for the camera issue for some TT devices.

Don't know about 9.45 (tomtomhome). I have TT Via 120 Live (Mytomtom) with update app. 11.035.

Re: Speed Cameras in France

Can't comment on NAV2 firmware just yet as I have NAV3. Just can re-iterate others experiences later on.

Re: Speed Cameras in France

Zsolt,

With the 9.43 upgrade (or any navcore U/G)  am I correct to think that I also have to upgrade my map or it wont be compatable.

At the moment I'm on 9.061 with map version 880.3812 (Europe 2GB), and I have put off going to any version of 9.4 due to negative  posts on the forum.

At least I now know the difference between NAV2 and NAV3 devices - being a 750Go Live mine's a 2.

Thanks

Re: Speed Cameras in France

Not sure about map compatibility, but would make a manual backup if I was you, update it, and worst case scenario, you could revert it. But please leave TT HOME out of the backup.

I don't think this solution should work only with the latest map, otherwise TT could get into an even bigger "trouble" to "force" people to purchase maps when they don't want to.

Re: Speed Cameras in France

Why can't Ditte or one of the other 'staff' members just do a good Customer Service job and simply come onto this forum and explain what is happening??? Why do we have to find out piecemeal and try to piece it all together ourselves?

Are TT just hell bent on commercial suicide??
