Re: Speed Cameras in France

Good old Garmin......................... Amazing how everyone has got their act together except TT.

I have a built in TT Carminat Live. Not only do I still NOT have the Danger Zone facility but TT still cannot - almost FOUR MONTHS into the mission -  tell me if and when I will ever get it!!!

I used to be a Garmin user and changed over to TT when I bought my new renault with in dash TT. Worst move that I ever made!!!

Re: Speed Cameras in France

Just had my post "immediately" removed because I broke the forum rules .... if only the customer care team could act as quickly

Re: Speed Cameras in France

AJ ................... Don't feel bad. Been there, done that and got the tee shirt!

You are right ........................ if they cared as much about Customer Care as they do about some imagined infraction of the forum rules we wouldn't need to be reading post 334 solely on the subject of the Speed Cameras in France Law which came into effect almost FOUR months ago!!!

Re: Speed Cameras in France

This is not the other brand's forum. They would do the exact same stuff. If you search the other brand's name here, you will be surprised that they haven't removed many-many...many.

The forum is moderated by Lithium, not TT. I actually personally recommended that post for removal due to the forum T&Cs.

Re: Speed Cameras in France

Hi Zsoft,

I take your point about Lithium rather than TT doing the moderation but my point is, if TT listened to our questions and gave us TIMELY answers, there would be no need for anyone to get frustrated and annoyed as is being clearly shown by many of these posts.

If TT are not going to take any notice of and not respond to this forum then they would be better served by shutting it down! That would at least hide the fact that they really don't give a **bleep** about their customer base and it would save their customers the frustration of asking questions of a brick wall!

As you can see, this is my 142nd post since last September and FOUR months AFTER the law came into force I still do not know when, or even if, my TT Carminat Live system will ever get the Danger Zones modification.

I have asked the TT staff repeatedly on this forum, I have asked TT Customer Service directly, I have even gone as far as to directly email Senior Management at TT and I have yet to get a meaningful answer. As the Carminat is built in I do not have the luxury of voting with my feet!

Why does that not suprise me, with over 2,800 posts you really really do need to get a life !!

The GARMIN link highlighted that it is indeed possible for a GPS company to provide a service which is both accurate and without fault on all their products, something which Tom Tom appear to be struggling to do. Perhaps vehicle manufacturers who are integrating Sat Navs into their vehicles should note that.

Zsolt, have you done Lands End to John o Groats yet? .... :smileylol:

@AJ4728: Please give me a link to your Facebook site, and I start to post notes to your girlfriend that Joe Average is much better than you, and does everything she wants. Most probably you will be not happy with that one either. Am I right or am I right. If you would like to be part of the other community, you should keep the rules as well, otherwise it is a free country, please buy the other brand, and enjoy their solution.

It is not pedalling or whatever. Some of my posts had been removed earlier as well, due to breach on T&Cs.

You see, the difference between you and me, you have 22 posts in where you cry most of the times about TT is hurting poor you, whilst I try to help others. Why are you not following this sort of example and try to help out others? Or why are you not linking TT services on the other brands forum? You could advise those people to don't forget to buy international roaming discount whilst trying to use 3D traffic services abroad...and an Android phone. Because they are the ultimate company and can do everything better than TT...or maybe not. Or would it be against your philosophy?

I really can't be bothered less what you post, but there are T&Cs that are valid for everyone.

The pedalling is done from Lands End to John O'Groats, however not on the bicycle, but with a car, and believe or not, with a TomTom device which took me exactly where it supposed to, didn't have traffic jam on my road, didn't take me on the wrong road.

Zsolt

He he, calm down, at your age you are likely to give yourself a heart attack ... I'm guessing you are at least 60+yrs which would put you well beyond what even Joe Average could manage :smileywink:

Facebook?? As I keep saying you need to get out more and away from your computer, that would also do your heart a world of good.

I only have 22 posts because I tend not to moan and get on with living my life, unlike yourself who has over 2,800 posts and doesn't. :smileywink:

Back to the subject ..... IF Tom Tom sorted their customer service out they would perhaps be the undisputed champion Sat Nav provider but they just can't seem to manage that! The products are without doubt superb and I actually love my Rider, however it annoys me when I'm told by TT that they cannot apply the latest software to my device when they are currently promoting it as the "latest" in motorcycle navigation yet they ask me to pay the same price for updates which are unavailable.

Cheers

AJ

PS. Zsolt, PLEASE don't reply to this, I would be heartbroken if you have a funny turn!! :smileysurprised:

Why would I have a funny turn... I reply to whatever I wish to, as far as I am concerned.

Would you mind to read a bit back and have a look at who's starting to have uncalled posts about others (I help you out here, you with the pedalling rubbish...this kind of attitude just pisses me off).

Luckily, I am not even close to 60, and far away from 60+. You will be surprised, I am not even on Facebook, it was just for an example...but whatever.

If you check a few of my posts, never supported TT by delaying the release of the DZ or whatever. They must have their reason why is it not done yet.

As of the latest unit the Rider (or Rider 2), I don't really have a feeling it is. It was released some time back, and not really up-to-date...as you can see. It might be their latest product for bikers, but I think it will be soon legacy. If you have a look at their support site, Rider Pro, Urban Rider, Rider 2 are mid-life devices and the Rider is legacy already. I have a feeling that a newer range might come soon (as the youngest one is mid-life already), and the DZ is going to be implemented in that one.
