Re: No GPS signal

@Anthony3107: The GO700 is definitely not affected by the same GPS issue. Go to TT HOME, Manage My GO, delete the GPS fix from the device and from the PC, disconnect, reset the device, try to run the update again, reset one more time (soft reset via the pin hole on the bottom), and try again. In case it is not working, your GPS receiver just died.

As of the 125, give a go for these steps:

Re: No GPS signal

I am extremely disappointed in TOM TOM and my live 1000. Frustrated yes!!!!!! I need to install the new software to get a GPS signal, have cleared the cache and followed the steps several times with absolutely no luck!!!! Why didnt I just buy a garmin like all my friends suggested. TOM TOM is a nightmare to say the least, no support and no back up - today I will make sure all the customer forums in South Africa are aware of the the hassle of owning a TOM TOM.

All the emails with regards to the product and service and yet no response....UNREAL!!!!

Re: No GPS signal

@gazza13: Try this:

http://discussions.tomtom.com/t5/TomTom-GO-800-1000-2000-Via/SOLUTION-for-the-GPS-SIGNAL-issue/m-p/2...

Some more troubleshooting tips:

- Try to disable your antivirus and firewall, use Firefox, and make sure that your computer is not going into stand-by or similar.
- Clear the cache before each update attempt. Also could do a soft reset before and after the update.
- Make sure you have the latest Adobe Flash Player and Java installed.
- Make sure you have all the latest updates and hotfixes/patches to your OS.
- In case the device looks like hung during the update or the counter stopped, just leave it. It will be fine in a few minutes.
- Check your network connections, make sure that the TT's network adapter is enabled
- Try to uninstall and re-install the MyTomTom application

- Any further issue: Try it on another PC, try it with different USB lead (below steps are Windows specific)
- Whilst the device connected, remove the drivers from the Device Manager (Windows/Control Panel), DELETE the drivers
- Remove the MyTomTom application and run CCLEANER (will remove your history, cookies, etc by default)

Re: No GPS signal

it seems i've found the solution to my problem. I just followed your instructions in the earlier post . after that, i took my tomtom for a little "walk in the nature" so no building could bother the signal and after about 15 minutes it found the right gps signal. thanks for all the help!!
