Hello everyone,

The new 8.70 maps are now available for download and purchase.

As well as containing improvements in our current map road coverage, there are also several new maps available:

• Eastern Atlantic Islands (Canary Islands, Azores, Madeira)
• French Guiana
• Western Mediterranean Islands (Malta, Menorca, Ibiza, Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica)
• Southeast Asia map (Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia)

For devices using MyTomTom you will have the option to purchase an updated version of your current map (Map Update Service users will have an updated map available for download). 

Additional maps for MyTomTom users are planned for release within the coming month.

 I just downloaded it ! Had no problems . It took 1 hr 40mins to down load and 1 hr 10 min to install.

Still not possible in Ireland

When you select device GO1000/1005 you get this message

When you download your newly purchased map, it will replace the map on your device, if there is not enough memory on your device to fit them together. You can re-install the original map at any time.

After that the select map section is greyed out & you can not procede any further.

 I don't understand ! It replaces the old map totally. The old one is gone and just the new one is on the device.

Yep, thats replacing...

There is no room on the device for both,

is it normal that after update tomtom home shows "Your map has not been updated for more than 20 weeks. Unfortunately Map Share map corrections are temporarily not available"?

 These devices do not use TT Home !
