Is there some way to see what has been updated/changed?

Hello Ditte ,
I've downloaded the latest version , 8.90 , but despite my suggestion and your assurance that it would be passed on to the I.T. Department there is still no 7 digit Postcode facility for the UK & N.I. added to the download . If you remember we had this discussion 6 months ago .
Does the I.T. branch actually listen to what we , the paying customers , actually say ?
I realise that I'm risking sounding like a moaner , but please , it must be such a simple task at source that I cannot believe its beyond them .
Thankyou for your patience
Best Regards
Badger

Zsolt ~ I appreciate your comment and assistance . I was just trying to be helpful to those of us who see life in simple terms
It seems too easy a solution to have the facility incorporated at source when the updates are issued .
My device , Go 300 , is about 6 years old if not more now and initially the 7 digit was available.
I survive though by entering the road name as the first 4 kick in .
Not a big deal I know but something that seems so simple to achieve by T.T.'s IT mob
Thanks for your response

Fair enough
I was under the impression that normally it downloads, otherwise you would have a pretty old post code database after a few years, and haven't seen such an option in TT HOME to update the post codes only. If you have a look at the link, it looks like map specific. But again, I can be wrong of course.

Sadly , no , just the first 4 hence my suggestion to Ditte about 2 updates ago.
I see your reasoning about the old postcodes being outdated and that was why I made the suggestion in the first place. At my age computers are a bit of a techno jungle , thats why I ask my Grandchildren
I shall survive though .
In general I'm pleased with the service , its just these little niggles that could be so easily resolved that annoy me although annoy is likely too strong a feeling
I certainly dont experience the problems that a lot of people have.
In my retirement I deliver presteige cars all over the UK and 99 times out of 100 there is no real problem as I've said .
If I'm delivering to Bristol for instance the BS20 of BS20 XXX comes up then I just put in the road , as I said , no real grief . It would just be nice if I could have the 7 digits facility.
Thanks again for your interest
Regards
George

Just updadated my Go Live 1000 and have to say i`m dissapointed with the new map, i live in southern Scotland and regularly travel to west Cumbria, a new bypass has been built around the city of Carlisle which is not on the map. In fact the road has been officially open for a couple of months but has been under construction for the last 3 years, Is it normal for Tomtom to take so long to add new roads ?
As i pay for map updates the least i could expect are up to date maps ! Is that not what the term " map updates" means ? Not value for money, but hey why would Tomtom care they are getting rich and thats all that matters isn`t it ? Screw the customer ! Last Tomtom product purchased ? Yes i think so.
Bye bye Tomtom.

Jife, do you mean the M6? Could you describe the exact bypass? Then I will report this using the online Map Share Reporter (http://tomtom.com/mapshare/tools/) on your behalf if you agree. The change will then be implemented in a future map once it's accepted. The implementation takes about 6 to 12 months usually.
